KFC Cares....?????

It has been 1 week since I sent KFC an email telling them about my experience at the local store. I have not heard from them. I find it funny that their email address is KFCcares@kfc.com because they apparently don't care!! 

Long Busy Weekend

Took our cat Sugar into the vet Friday morning to have her front declawed. I hated to have this done and had tried so hard not to, but the door frames and walls were what she clawed the most. So off she went for surgery. Sugar had to stay the night at vet. So off Brian and I went to make our 120 mile trek to Cadiz, KY to the closest Casey's General Store for pizza and donuts. I know that sounds a bit strange but as we originally come from northern IL where they have Casey's General Stores everywhere, we miss not having one here in TN. Not only that, but we can't find donuts that are worth eating around here. Also the pizzas are no where near like what we are use to here. So earlier in the month we discovered that Casey's had opened a brand new store only 60 miles away!!! I keep trying to get them to open one closer to us, maybe someday. After returning home to TN with pizzas and donuts, I because of my faulty memory ended up making 2 trips to Wal-Mart. Upon returning home, Brian helped me hang up the new curtains I had to buy for the granddaughters rooms. Last week Sugar decided to destroy the window blinds. Her front claws just ripped through them like a hot knife in butter.

 

 

Yesterday morning went to pickup Sugar from the vets and because of my faulty memory once again had to return to Wal-Mart. Sugar at home, seemed to being doing very well. It was also laundry day. Then because of my faulty memory again, took my youngest granddaughter to Wal-Mart while my oldest granddaughter attended a birthday pool party. Grilled out for dinner after watching the Little League Goodlettsville TN team win against CA. They are now the US Champions. Today they play Japan. Win or lose they have done great so far. After dinner it was time to watch the Nascar race. It was a real bang em deal. Today I am resting.....

Scrap

This morning Brian and I took a trailer load of scrap to the scrap yard. They use this claw to pick up the scrap from our trailer. It's a good jolt when it comes down on the trailer.

Joke and Guns..A Childhood Memory

My stepdad owned an auction barn/swap shop/coffee shop and I spent most of my adolescence working, learning and playing in them. My stepdad would always say one man's junk is another's treasure. I do believe that. On the morning news I heard about a woman that had killed her husband by hitting him in the head with a coffee cup (must have been a very hard cup) earlier this year. Anyway for some reason that story reminded me of a Saturday night at our auction. My stepdad was an auctioneer and one night while he was on the podium auctioning off starter pistols. They looked like real guns. He had a habit of stopping and telling jokes, then start auctioning again. On this particular night he told a joke that my mom couldn't stand and had previously told him to stop telling. The simple joke was...

 

 

My wife is a good housekeeper. She's been married 7 times and kept the house everytime.

 

 

My mom picked up the starter pistol and shoved it against his belly and said...That's not true!! I told you to stop telling that joke...then she pulled the trigger. It sounded like a real gun had went off. People screamed..Oh my God!!! Then deadly silence. Of course my stepdad wasn't hurt and he started laughing as did everyone else.  Although it did burn a hole in his shirt!! Everyone thought it was all an act to get people to buy the starter pistols (which they did sell like hotcakes afterwards) but it wasn't an act just something that happened and one of my childhood memories, lol

KFC Update

I was contacted today on Facebook about the post I put on their Facebook page. I was given the customer service phone # and email address so I could forward my complaint to them. I just finished sending them an email. I copied and pasted my post from facebook into the email to save me time. 

Weekend Over

The weekend is drawing to an end quickly as the sun sets while I am writing this. Yesterday was a long day, as I sat outside giving Tabitha encouragement to learn to ride a bicycle. She will be 10 years next month and high time she learnt this childhood activity. We had tried to teach her when her sister finally learned at age 8. However she was not able to learn then. Finally she has learned but is not yet a pro.

Today the girls went to church. I had laundry to do and sheets to change. I also have been trying to put away some of the girls summer clothing.

 On top of everything else, dear ol' Sugar has for the 2nd time, taken her sharp daggers and tore up the window blind in Sammy Jo's bedroom.

  

3 of the slats just ripped into. The first time Brian was able to fix it, but not this time (we ran out of extra slats). So I ran to Wal-Mart to find some kind of a curtain. Dear ol' Brian gave me wrong measurements for window, the curtain doesn't exactly fit but will do for time being. Friday I will buy another. I shall be buying curtains window by window to replace the window blinds that we now have. The window blinds are too much for me to take care of anymore and have become dust collectors anyway. At least with curtains I can throw into washer. Tomorrow I will be calling the vet, hopefully to get appt. for Friday to have Sugar declawed in the front. I have tried not to do this but am going to have to as we don't have a single door frame in the house that she hasn't tore up and also managed to get the wall next to the door frame on Tabitha's bedroom. After she is declawed we are going to have to paint each door frame and as for the wall I am hoping that a wallpaper border will do the trick. So much trouble Sugar has caused......
